SET AND TYPES OF SET

Image
SET AND TYPES OF SETS SET: A set s well defined collection of objects or numbers or elements. UNION OF SET: The union of two sets is a set containing all elements that are in A or in B. INTERSECTION OF SET: Intersection of two given sets is the largest set which contains all the elements that are common to both the sets. TYPES OF SETS 1. Empty Sets The set, which has no elements, is also called a null set or void set. It is denoted by {}.Below are the two examples of the empty set. Example of empty set: Let set A = {a: a is the number of students studying in Class 6th and Class 7th}. As we all know, a student cannot learn in two classes, therefore set A is an empty set. Another example of an empty set is  set B = {a: 1 < a < 2, a is a natural number}, we know a natural number cannot be a decimal, therefore set B is a null set or empty set. 2. Singleton Sets The set which has just one element is named a singleton set. For example,Set A = { 8 } is a singleton set. 3. Finite and

CONGRUENT TRIANGLE

CONGRUENT TRIANGLE CONGRUENT FIGURES:                                                             Congruent figures are exactly the same in size and shapes. In other words, shapes are congruent if one fits exactly over the other. EXAMPLE: CONGRUENT TRIANGLE: Determining congruence Sufficient evidence for congruence between two triangles in  Euclidean space  can be shown through the following comparisons: SAS  (side-angle-side): If two pairs of sides of two triangles are equal in length, and the included angles are equal in measurement, then the triangles are congruent. SSS  (side-side-side): If three pairs of sides of two triangles are equal in length, then the triangles are congruent. ASA  (angle-side-angle): If two pairs of angles of two triangles are equal in measurement, and the included sides are equal in length, then the triangles are congruent. The ASA postulate was contributed by  Thales of Miletus  (Greek). In most systems of axioms, the three criteria – SAS, SSS and ASA – a

SIMPLE INTEREST

Image
Simple Interest Simple interest is a method to calculate the amount of interest charged on a sum at a given rate and for a given period of time. In simple interest, the principal amount is always the same, unlike compound interest where we add the interest of previous years principal to calculate the interest of the next year. Simple interest is a quick and easy method to calculate interest on the money, in the simple interest method interest always applies to the original principal amount, with the same  rate  of interest for every time cycle. When we invest our money in any bank, the bank provides us interest on our amount. The interest applied by the banks is of many types one of them is simple interest.   Now, before going deeper into the concept of simple interest, let's first understand what is the meaning of a loan. A loan is an amount that a person borrows from a bank or a financial authority to fulfill their needs. Loan examples include home loans, car loans, education l
